Information for consumers about the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal in distance selling.

Right of Withdrawal

Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without stating reasons, unless a statutory exception applies.

Withdrawal Period

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, took possession of the goods.

How to Exercise Withdrawal

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you, including the costs of standard delivery, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which we receive the withdrawal notice. A consumer withdrawal may also relate only to individual items of an order. If not all goods are withdrawn, we do not reimburse standard-delivery costs on a pro-rata basis. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence that you have returned the goods. Unless otherwise agreed, you bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

Statutory Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply in the statutory exception cases of section 312g(2) German Civil Code, for example for clearly personalized goods, perishable goods, or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
